I enjoyed ever minute of it just like I did last season under Cooper and intend to enjoy thisĮven when we were winning everything I've never heard the city ground so vocal as last season and the start of thisĬan't keep living in the past mate as sir Brian could not make his style of management work in these daysīowman gave the players the power and if anyone is annoyed about what footballers earn, then it's mainly down to this man. Within two seasons it was a mess under Gilles and brown followed so I never saw any success till sir Brian came along. I look at the past and when I first was allowed to watch forest it was 66/ 67 season and I was hooked. The game has evolved and moved on and we have head coaches because a manager hasn't the time to deal with transfers and thir agents aswell as running the team. The days of clough ferguson wenger are long gone along with all the other greats like Busby and shankly SOS.Ĭarlo mate what part of the modern game don't you understand? I hope against all hope I’m wrong and somehow Steve cooper can turn this season around, but I really do fear the worst.īrian Clough if your there tomorrow night please give our players the heart and courage to win. sad state of affairs at the moment, the owners intentions were obviously well meaning but bringing in 22 players is a no no, when keeping the majority of last seasons loan players and adding 5 or 6 good signings would have given us a chance to build on the success from last season, but instead Marinakis has torn up all the good work of last season and signed 22 players looking for the money and a nice contract and not actually wanting to play for Nottingham Forest football club or it’s supporters……. not fit to wear the shirt springs to mind, cooper looks worried, overwhelmed and lost during matches and resigned to losing his job in post match interviews……. Hope I’m wrong, but can’t see us getting anything tomorrow, 3-0 to Leicester, the owner has made a big mistake by not signing most of the players that got us promoted last season……team spirit, heart and fight is everything in football, I’ve been to every home match this season and I’ve not seen spirit, heart or fight from any of our players…. That sort of spirit has to be in this squad tomorrow night or we are toast. It will all depend on whether whoever he picks shows a passion to win for 90 mins as in the play off final. A draw and I think Cooper will keep his job, and Brendan Rogers loose his. To loose him will be a disaster for the club, leading to certain relegation of a bloated, over paid squad, who will not come back and likely sink. The players I have suggested will fight with a passion for Cooper. To start with 11 misfits who maybe talented but have never played together is asking for defeat. If Cooper bases his team around these players, who will play because of him - we have a chance. Worrall, Yates, McKenna, O ' Brien, Toffolo, Surridge, Colback, Johnson had it for Wales so why not the reds. I wouldn't bet against a passionate Vardy scoring for Leicester. Leicester have a team spirit honed over several seasons. There is now hardly a remnant of that team left, and the spirit of that successful team has gone. In addition, they beat Leicester 4:1, one of those games etched in your mind. If we had the 11 of the playoff final, I would have had hope, as they played for Cooper and each other. The so called ' Pundits ' point to a Forest loss and where they have predicted results for Forest, they have not been wrong. A goalless draw will not suit either manager. One manager, if not both, will be jobless tomorrow such are the high stakes, that is the reality of the premier league.
